Meet the Founder

Houstonian native Sofia Leal is a proud Latina filmmaker and cinematographer. She has been passionate about film since she was a child and often made home movies documenting her life to show her family. Her parents made it a point to have her watch popular and classic films to have a well-rounded understanding of pop culture. They called it "The Education" and it has greatly influenced Sofia's journey as a filmmaker. While a student at The University of Texas at Austin she has honed her technical skills and has helped bring life to meaningful stories. Her goal is to create meaningful stories that authentically represent her Mexican and Venezuelan culture and bring it to a wider audience. Lover of all genres, Sofia also has a passion for action, drama, and thriller films.
